How Korexia™ Works

Korexia™ main ingredients are conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), gamma linoleic acid (GLA) and the Omega-3 Fatty Acids [linolenic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)].

Korexia™ (GLA) is derived from the omega-6 fatty acid — linoleic acid. Although omega-6 is typically consumed in large quantities in the American diet, many people are still deficient in GLA. It is believed that this is due to the fact that many oils containing omega-6 are hydrogenated. Hydrogenation can inhibit the conversion of linoleic acid to GLA. GLA is the precursor for many important prostaglandins. These are hormone-like substances that affect many processes in the body like blood vessel, skin and joint health. They help build muscle mass and promote thermogenesis (fat burning) as well.

Korexia™ Omega-3 unsaturated fatty acids include Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), EicosaPentaenoic Acid (EPA) and DocosaHexaenoic Acid (DHA). The body manufactures EPA and DHA by the conversion of Alpha-Linolenic Acid. Because Alpha-Linolenic Acid cannot be made in the body, it is classified as an ESSENTIAL fatty acid and must be obtained from either the diet or in supplement form. These fatty acids appear to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. As well as providing a whole slew of health benefits, they also help prevent muscle breakdown, enhance joint healing, improve brain function and encourage fat loss.

Suggested Dosage: Take 1 softgel in the morning and 1 softgel in the evening before meals. Drink at least 8 oz. (250 ml) of water with each serving of Korexia™. Do not exceed recommended maximum of 4 softgels per 24 hour period.

Can good fats make you slim? — Of course, not all fats are created equal. Artery-clogging saturated and trans fats found in commercially fried foods, pastries and some dairy and meat products have minimal health benefits and go directly into fat storage. But good fats are essential to weight management: they discourage fat storage and encourage fat burning. One such proven weight-loss fat is conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a polyunsaturated omega-6 found in grass-fed (not grain-fed or soybean-fed) beef and lamb and in safflower oils and supplements derived from safflower. Ongoing studies support the claim that CLA increases metabolic rate, preserving lean muscle tissue and reducing fat, particularly around the abdomen.
says expert Denise Wild from ELLE — Online Magazine.
Omega-3 deficiency is the sixth biggest killer of Americans and more deadly than excess trans fat intake, according to a new study. — The Harvard University researchers looked at 12 dietary, lifestyle and metabolic risk factors such as tobacco smoking and high blood pressure and used a mathematical model to determine how many fatalities could have been prevented if better practices had been observed.
The study, jointly funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the Association of Schools of Public Health, drew on 2005 data from the US National Health Center for Health Statistics. They determined that there were 72,000-96,000 preventable deaths each year due to omega-3 deficiency, compared to 63,000-97,000 for high trans fat intake.
